Directions to Newbegin Courts (Gray Parks and Rec. Dept.)

This is the meeting spot for most Hunts Hill tournaments.

From the South:

  1. Take the Maine Turnpike north to exit 63 (marked Gray).
  2. After the toll booth, take a right. This brings you immediately to a set of lights in the middle of the town of Gray Gray.
  3. Turn left at the light. You are now going north on routes 100 and 26.
  4. You will immediately go through another set of lights.
  5. You’ll immediately see a Cumberland Farms store on your right.
  6. The driveway to Newbegin gym(and sand court) is 3 or 4 driveways past Cumberland Farms and on the same side of the road(right).
  7. Turn in the “One Way” driveway and you’ll see 3 brick buildings. The gym is the largest and the 2nd one, straight in. It has a bathroom.
  8. The sand courts are to the right of the small building that sits on the right.

From the North

  1. Take Maine Turnpike south to exit 63 and follow directions above.

From Yarmouth

From 295 to Yarmouth, such as from the Brunswick area.

  1. Go south on Route. 1.
  2. Follow signs to Gray via 115. (right onto main street then right again and follow through town and out the other side).
  3. Turn right on rt. 231.
  4. Turn left at the intersection with the white church and steeple. This is still rt. 115 and heads right into Gray village.
  5. At intersection in Gray center turn right towards Lewiston on Route. 100.
  6. You’ll immediately see a Cumberland Farms store on your right. The driveway to Newbegin gym(and sand court) is 3 or 4 driveways past Cumberland Farms and on the same side of the road(right).

From North Windham

  1. From the intersection of routes 35, 302 and 115.
  2. Take route 115 toward Gray
  3. After a few miles it merges with 202; take a left at that intersection.
  4. Continue on routes 115 and 202 for a few more miles, you’ll pass the entrance for the Maine Turnpike(#63) on your right.
  5. Then, 100 yards later, at set of lights in Gray center, turn left towards Lewiston. You’ll be on route 100.
  6. You’ll immediately see a Cumberland Farms store on your right.

Directions to Hunts Hill

From the South

  1. Take the Maine Turnpike north to exit 63 (marked Gray).

  3. Turn right at the light. You are now going south on route 100.
  4. Continue south approximately 1 1/4 miles.
  5. Look for a right hand turn marked Hunts Hill Rd.
  6. Once on Hunts Hill Rd. go 1/2 mile.
  7. Stop and park at red brick house( #39) on the left.
  8. Main court is directly behind house. All check-in is done here before moving on to assigned courts.

From the North
